TUTTLE, of Antioch, and
formerly a Clerk in the office of the California Steam Navigation Company
in Stockton. Enjoying her usual good health, she left Antioch for San Francisco
on Saturday 15th instant, to visit her daughter residing in that city.
Her son was informed of her sudden illness, but before he could reach the

"TWITCHELL--GILMORE, the man who about a
year ago was indicted at San Francisco for the murder of G.B.P.
TWITCHELL,
and convicted of manslaughter in the Court of Sessions, but granted a new
trial on the grounds of want of jurisdiction over capital offences by that
court, has been discharged by Judge LAKE, of the District Court, on his
own recognizance, no indictment for manslaughter having been found." Source:
