  Social Register San Francisco 1927 Look At Dilatory Domiciles Always To Insure Accuracy In Using the Social Register: First look up the name in the Locater, which will indicate its exact place, either in your own or one of the twenty other Social Registers. The name may be in your own Social Register and yet escape your attention, if grouped out of alphabetical order, under the head of the family. Subscribers to the Locater may obtain a transcript of the desired entry in any other Social Register within their own, by telephoning, or writing, to the Association. If the married name you are seeking has escaped your memory, and you can recall the maiden name, reference to the "Married Maidens" will then indicate the present name. Consult Dilatory Domiciles for most recent changes. Dilatory/Domiciles are issued in December, January and March. Each will include its predecessor. Social Registers of each city are issued in November and their accuracy is maintained throughout the year by means of Dilatory Domiciles in the December, January and March, and by the Summer Social Register in July, with country and foreign addresses of all the cities combined.
They record the full names and addresses of members of prominent families grouped together, the club to which they belong, with the marriage and death of each person as it may occur.

Names of Juniors{Misses 12 to 17 and Mr.'s 14 to 20} appear under the names of older members of their families.

The Locater cataloging in one alphabetical order every name in all the Social Registers with the family's head under which it may be found and the city in which the name appears, is essential, owing to in many inter-marriage as among families in the various cities and constant changes from one city to another. Reference to be Locater shows at once under what city to look for any desired name and there all required information may be gleaned.

The names of Married Maidens who have married into families of other cities appear among the Married Maidens of their former city with their present married name and the city of their residence.

To insure the finding of a name in the Social Register looks for it first in the Locater.
