Reception to Members of 50 Years' Standing is Held.
SANTA CRUZ. Sept. 15 -
The First Congregational church of Santa Cruz was organized September 12, 1857, and the 60th anniversary is now being celebrated. A most interesting program has been prepared for a five days' celebration, and has so far been carried out under the most auspicious circumstances. Rev. A.W. HARE had the pleasure of welcoming Rev. W.C. POND, D.D., Rev Walter FREAR, D.D., and Rev. James B. ORR, one of the best loved pastors of the Congregational church.

by Rev. Burton M. PALMER, D.D., and Rev. Bryant C. Preston; and in the
evening by Rev. Francis J. VAN HORN D.D., subject "The Church: An Increasing
Incarnation." Mr. HERTMAN was choirmaster; Mr. G.F. Wright, organist.
