Surnames with prefix should be searched with and without the prefix - example - de Haro and Haro

Multiple Grantors and Grantees names have been listed separately so that the second party will have recognition also.

There is no index or alphabetization of the grantees, but the Recorder has cross-referenced all parties to the individual agreements.

Thus the categories "GRANTOR", GRANTEE", "NATURE OF INSTRUMENT" and "PROPERTY ENCUMBERED" are not relevant to the entries. This standard-printed volume was used as a belated index by the Recorder since the entries are not numerically successive by volume and page.

"•" Symbol represents the subject of Probate Court proceedings and not the Grantee Applies to the Surname section of 'P' only.

This Index volume appears to have been created by the county out of necessity as the usual consecutive filing by page numbers is inconsistent perhaps by misfiling the order of documents before entering them into the index. I have researched the individual document for the correct spelling of a name when interpretation from the index entry was difficult. This has helped most of the time. Sometimes the spelling of a name has varied within the document.

"Mac" prefixes are attached to the surname, and "Mc" prefixes are separated.
