San Francisco Mortuary Records
ABOUT THE COLLECTION
SFgenealogy

In Spring 2006, Researchity acquired case files from the Halsted N. Gray-Carew & English mortuary in San Francisco, California, for their company and their acquired companies. The approximate dates for the files are indicated below. Digital images were created of the records and the original physical records were recycled. Researchity donated the copyrights to the records and images to SFgenealogy in 2016.

The San Francisco Public Library History Center received the majority of the files that predate these and digital copies are available at FamilySearch.org. Halsted N. Gray currently retains files for Halsted and N. Gray & Company (from 1980 to present).

SFgenealogy, with its many wonderful volunteers, have started creating a free index of these images. Below is a list of all the collections. The ones that are striked out are planned to be included in the future. Many of these images have also been indexed by and are available at Ancestry.com for their subscribers.
