Dominican Girls Awarded Degrees
Graduation exercises were held at the Dominican College Monday afternoon when seven young ladies completed their studies at that noted institution of learning, and a large class was awarded high school diplomas.
The degree of bachelor of arts was awarded by Right Rev. Monsignor Charles Ramm to the Misses Josephine Cote, Loretta Hart, Beatrice Lafferty, Leona Lydon, Camilla Malone, Barbara Taylor and Mary Valla.
Archbishop Edward J. Hanna delivered an impressive address to the graduating
class in which he stressed the important part assigned to women in world
affairs and the role played by women’s colleges in preparing them for their
duties to humanity.
