I am a Scottish post-graduate university student, and as part of my M.Litt degree,I am attempting to research the life of James Carr MacDonald Hay, also known as Seumas MacGaraidh.Born in Arbroath on 17th Feb 1885 in Arbroath, Scotland, he emigrated to San Fransisco in 1923, and set up a Scottish Gaelic class (An Sgoil Gaidhlig)at San Fransisco University.From information gathered from an obitury column, he may have died in San Bruno on Jan th 1966. Any assistance with this project would be greatly appreciated.
