I remember the CPBC on Guerrero st. Its the 1947-49 years.I was 7 and took the 26 Daly City bus from Inglside and all summer would stay at the Club and we had a soft ball league in the asphalt in the middle of the Club. I was pretty good and got to play withthe teenagers those years. I remember the high fence around the asphalt field.I remember the club I think it had a balconies around the field area. It had pool tables and Boxing bag and ping pong. I remember Bill Maltby. What a wonderful man he was. I was from a broken family and my mom had to work so I was allowed to take the bus during the summers and stay at the Columbia Park club all day at around 5 I took the bus (26 Daly City on Valencia st a go home. If it wasn't for the club I would have been a bum. I did have an aunt who lived across the street the Engler family. What dreams I have had of those days. Tom
