I have to agree with the rest of the posters that only ONE is truly difficult.
Tadich's from the 50's and 60's. Why? Our family were regulars there for years. The restaurant felt like a home away from home. Waiters would call us by name and welcome the whole family. They would talk to us younger folk like adults and tell us jokes. Their long white aprons were always spotless. The french bread was to die for. I learned more about seafood at Tadich's than any other restaurant in the City. I probably learned more bar games there too. Dad would sometimes park me there when he took off for meetings. The trek to the ladies was alwys interesting. I kept wanting to peek into the curtained cubicles as I was sure some mystery was going on in there. The food and friendly atmosphere leave such warm memories. My father, uncle and grandfather were the Tadich's side of the family. Some of our cousins were Sam's regulars. Ha! I remember a near argument with my then soon to be husband when we discovered that he was from a Sam's family!
