As I recall, Sundays were double header days; the first game was a full nine innings and the second a shortened seven inning game.
The streetcar line went past the stadium, and it was the 22 line as I recall. While we were in school we could get those passes that had ten or twenty numbers on them and the conductor would punch them out - and each conductor had a different punch. If we did not have the passes we would ride the cow-catchers (the streetcars had two front ends and two back ends - it depended on which direction they were going; and the seats would go forward or backward, or was it backward or forward?). That was, until we were caught, and then the conductor would chase us off but what the heck, we just waited until another streetcar came along.
Rosemary, try the Sacramento Solons (and their knothole stadium) and The Portland Beavers. By the time that you bought the Toyota hadn't Seals Stadium been torn down and a White Front put up in the outfield, only to go broke?
