Talk about a tough contest!
Well, I find Ocean Beach a lovely place to be, regardless of the weather.
Of course, the view from Twin Peaks is spectacular.
And there's that section of the Bay Bridge, driving west, after you come out of the tunnel, where that breathtaking skyline comes in to full view.
But if I can choose *only* one, I think it would have to be the intersection of Powell and Market. It seems to me, that if you stand right there, and *really* take a long look at all of the people, buildings and vehicles around you, you can actually *feel* San Francisco. You can see old and young, historic and modern, sane and eccentric, wild and quiet, busy and slow, the past and the future....
I'm not quite sure I can express it adequately in words, but I think those who know San Francisco well may understand what I mean.
