My Grandfather, Col. RH Bridgman owned PaloMar Stables from 1946 until 1977 when at that time he gave the business to me. I operated the "barn" until I sold it in 1987. I started taking lessons from Freida McKellar in the mid 60's. Her assistant, Marilyn Lippi, purchased Mar Vista from Dev Zabotina-Terrell in the late 70's. The "hill" was a great place for many kids in the SF/Daly City area to either take lessons, rent horses to ride on the beach or just hang around the stables working to just ride a horse for an hour or two.
