Lillian Palmer was a close family friend of my ancestors, the Edward Williams family. Williams moved his family from the gold country to San Jose in 1873. His daughter, Emily (twin of Edith) was 6 at the time. Emily became an architect and was Lillian Palmer's roommate. Family oral history is suspects they were lesbians. Lillian Palmer designed the copper fireplace hood at the Los Gatos History Club in Los Gatos, California. One of the rooms there was named after her.
