My wife had a grandmother who cooked for the miners in Siskiyou county after coming here from Oregon. She toted a drop down desk in the original purple black stain on a wagon train over the Siskiyous to get here. It also has the M Friedman and Co of San Francisco on it. It must have originally been shipped or crated to Oregon only to now return to Redding Ca. Don't know the age but it was around the turn of the 19th century. It has a drop down in the middle with envelope boxes, two drawers on the upper sides and two oblong rectangle doors with shelves inside. No idea of the worth.
