Christmas was probably first celebrated in 1776. Mission Dolores (a Catholic church) was officially dedicated on October 9.

Of course, your question has two problems. Are you referring to what was San Francisco at the time, or in the area of what is San Francisco now. Fortunately, Mission Dolores existed in both constructs. Second, you asked about recorded. If you meant by a newspaper record, the earliest newspaper in the region was the "Californian" which began in 1846. You can browse that paper and other earlier ones online:
