MARSHAL HALE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL:
3733 Sacramento Street
Organized on January 12, 1881 as the Homeopathic Medical College and incorporated under the laws of the State of California on January 20, 1881. New articles of incorporation were drawn up in Novemebr 1887 and the name changed to HAHNEMANN HOSPITAL COLLEGE OF SAN FRANCISCO. Located on Haight Street above Octavia (115 Haight) until 1901 when the college moved to Sacramento and Maple Streets. The Children's Hospital Auxiliary purchased the college building in 1922. A new building was constructed on California Street and still later, in the 1970's the hospital was relocated into new quarters on Sacramento Street. Hospital renamed Marshall Hale Memorial Hospital in March 1975."
