Hi Carol:

My husband has been reading all of the messages on this site and came across your name. Your family was probably the only family I remember from Mt. St Joseph's. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Gayle's passing. My sister Shirley gave me the information. Gayle was a dear friend while I was at Presentation High School but I lost contact after we graduated. I have very good memories of the Mount and the nuns. They gave me a strong belief in my Catholic religion, which has sustained me all thru my life,(I'm now 75 yrs. old) and a great love of the movies. Shirley Temple, Deanna Durbin, Jane Powell, Bing Crosby, etc. etc. gave me a great love for music & dancing. (Deanna Durbin just passed away & I have all her & Shirley Temple's movies for my grand-children) I don't remember any one personally but have pictures at Mt. St. Helen's with Lillian Batress, Arlene Swanson, & Norine crabtree and others I cannot name. When you refer to Shirley do you mean my sister Shirley Cassidy? Would love to have you E-Mail me.

Marlene : : : 1943-1952 I was at the Mount and remember Sister Rosemary
: : : being Mother Superior, Sister Mary Rose, Sister Rita, Sister Paula and several others. I also remember Sandra Biagi and Nora and Joan Leroux as my friends. Anybody else remember this era????

: : Shirley, my sisters Barbara and Gayle Flynn and I were at the Mount from 1947 to 1952. Barbara and I went to St. Vincent's High. I remember the Sisters you've mentioned, but also St. Patricia, Sr. Mary Patrick, St. Augustine, Sr. Simeon and others whose names escape me now. This is a great site.
