Dr. Arthur Ritter’s Will Filed for Probate
The will of the late Dr. Arthur Ritter, founder of the Ross General Hospital, was filed for probate this week, in which Edith W. Ritter, his wife, asks for special letters of administration of her distinguished husband’s estate.
Dr. Ritter died March 5th. His will is dated October 27, 1927, the witnesses being Arthur C. Latno and Estelle E. Boyd. The heirs mentioned in the will are his wife, Edith, a daughter, Miss Marguerite Ritter, aged 25, residing with the mother at Kentfield, and Ena M. Bunt. There is a son Robert, aged 6 years, who was born after the will was executed.
The estate consists of cash in the bank, 40 shares of Anglo-California Bank stock, four shares of Goldman Sachs stock, with the greatest interest shown in the Ross General Hospital Inc. This shows 936 shares of common stock were held by Ritter, and 202 preferred shares in the institution.
The will recites that real property at Novato, California was purchased with funds from Mrs. Ritter and Ena Bunt, and that this property is bequeathed to them share and share alike.
