Valuable Estate Goes to Relatives

Nathan Dodge and E. B. Martinelli, executors without bond of the will of the late James Tunstead, read the will in the presence of the legatees on Wednesday. Practically the entire estate is in the Tunstead Incorporation Company; there are five hundred Shares, of which Mr. Tunstead owned 497, and Nathan Dodge, Bart Burtchaell and Peter Burtchaell owner respectively the remaining three shares. The estate is valued at $150,000.

There are five nieces and seven nephews; the nephews get 25 shares each, and the nieces 60 shares each; 22 extra shares are given to Nathan Dodge.

The Tunstead home in San Anselmo is given to Bart Burtchaell of San Francisco. The house adjoining the home is given to the housekeeper, Miss Julia Brierton, for life; at her death it reverts to Peter Burtchaell.

TUNSTEAD WILL
All His Property Deeded to Tunstead Co. Inc. Long Before His Death

The will of the late James Tunstead was filed for probate this morning, which disposes of an estate valued at about $125,000, which represents the Tunstead Block at San Anselmo, $25,000, Tunstead Block at 4th and A Sts., San Rafael, valued at $65,000, and other realty in San Anselmo and San Rafael valued at about $35,000. All this property is divided among his own kin and none to his wife's relatives. Mrs. Nathan Dodge and her sister of San Rafael receive stock valued at $12,000 each and to Mr. Nathan Dodge stock valued at $4500. The business property of the estate has an income of about $500 a month. The following is a copy of the will:
"I, James Tunstead, do make, publish and declare the following for my last will and testament, that is to say:
"I give, devise and bequeath to each of my seven nephews to-wit, the five sons of my sister Dora, deceased, the one son of my brother Thomas, deceased, and the one son of my brother Bartholomew, deceased, twenty five shares of the capital stock of the Tunstead Company, a corporation.
"I give, devise and bequeath to each of my five nieces to-wit, the four daughters of my sister Dora, deceased, and the one daughter of my brother Thomas, deceased, Sixty (60) shares of the capital stock of said Tunstead Company.
"l give, devise and bequeath to my nephew by marriage, Nathan A. Dodge Twenty-two (22) shares of the capital stock of said Tunstead Company.
"I give, devise and bequeath to my nephew Bart. M. Burtchaell, lot A of the Bunker Hill Tract, San Anselmo, together with all the improvements thereon, together with all household furniture and the library situate in the homestead on said lot A.
"I give to Julia Breierton of San Anselmo during her natural life, lot C of the Bunker Hill Tract, San Anselmo, and upon her death said lot is devised to Peter T. Burtchaell of San Rafael.
"I give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate to said Peter T. Burtchaell.
"I nominate and appoint E. B. Martlnelli and Nathan A. Dodge executors of this my will.
"JAMES TUNSTEAD.
"Subscribing witnesses: C. B. Atterbury, San Rafael. Henry Greer, San Rafael."
