WILL of A. GERICKE
IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN:
I, Adolph Gericke, of Tomales, Marin County, California, being of sound and disposing mind and memory and not acting under duress, menace or undue influence, do make this my last will and testament, that is to say:
FIRST. To my children Mary Elizabeth Gericke, James Robert Gericke, Adolph Mentor Gericke and Ann Maloney I devise and bequeath all of my real property known as my home ranch, the greater bulk of which is situated in Marin County, and twenty acres more or less in Sonoma County, together with all cattle, implements, farm untensils and personal property of whatsoever kind or nature now upon said ranch.
SECOND. I direct my executor, herinafter named to sell as soon as he can obtain apurchaser, at a fair price, my ranch situated in Sonoma County near the town of Sonoma, and out of the proceeds of such sale, I direct my executor to pay to my son Otto Gericke the sum of Two Thousand ($2000.00) dollars in cash he, the said Otto Gericke remains upon said land until such sale is consummated. In the event, however, that my son Otto vacates said ranch before such sale this bequest of Two Thousand ($2000.00) dollars is revoked and it is my will that he receive nothing as I consider that I have heretofore sufficiently provided for him.
THIRD. To my daughters Gusse Gericke and Nellie Gericke I devise the real property situate on McAllister Street near Lyon in the City and County of San Francisco.
FOURTH. To my sons George and Julius and to my daughter Mrs. Agnes Bell I devise and bequeath in equal shares the residue of my estate remaining in the hands of said executor which will consist of the balance remaining in the executor’s hands secured from the sale of the Sonoma Ranch after the payment of said sum of Two Thousand ($2000.00) dollars to Otto as hereinafter provided, the Clara Street property situate in the City and County of San Francisco and other surplus there may be in his hands at the time my estate is in condition for distribution.
FIFTH. I name Thos. F. Boyd of San Rafael the executor of this my last will and testament to serve without bonds.
I revoke all former wills and testaments made by me.
DATED: November 13th, 1912
The foregoing instrument was, on this 13th day of November 1912, in our presence, published and declared by said Adolph Gericke to be his last will and testament
