Dr. Agnes Walker Services Tomorrow
Services will be held for Dr. Agnes Walker, former San Rafael resident, tomorrow at Gray’s, in San Francisco at 2 o’clock. Dr. Walker, who was 58 years of age, was bacteriologist and director of the city’s laboratory at the San Francisco Hospital for more than 20 years. She died at Dante Sanitarium Monday night following a 4 month’s illness. She was born in Scotland and came to San Rafael with her father 40 years ago. Her father, Robert J. M. Walker, was president of the old Marin County Water Co. for many years.
Dr. Walker was a graduate of Cooper Medical College of the University of California in 1893. After working on Angel Island and in hospital in Pennsylvania, she returned to the coast where she became an authority in bacteriology. She resigned from her position 4 months ago because of ill health.
