Death claimed Arthur B. Hamilton last Sunday at his home in Mill Valley. He was the husband of Mrs. Lizzie Hamilton and the father of Earl Hamilton. The deceased was born in Stony Point, Sonoma county, and was 64 years of age. The funeral was held Tuesday at the parlors of Stephen Eden in San Rafael.

The Passing of a Pioneer of California
Arthur B. Hamilton passed away at his home in Mill Valley on Sunday, March 19, at the age of 64 years. His birthplace was Stony Point, Sonoma County. His occupation was that of both farmer and miner. During the famous Comstock days he worked in the mines In Nevada. About the year 1900 he took up homestead land in eastern Washington, which was pioneer country at that time. Here he spent 18 years, where besides providing for himself and his family he assisted materially in the upbuilding of that part of the country.
Mr. Hamiltonís generosity, his public spirit and his courtliness made all who knew him love and respect him.
Beside his devoted wife, Mrs. Lizzie Hamilton, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Carrie Parks, in the State of Washington, and two sons, Earl of Chicago and Courtney of Mill Valley. His sisters are Mrs. Walter Jones, Mrs. John Barrett, Mrs. John Beckett and Mrs. Gordon Fadden. His brothers are Dr. J. W. and C. D. Hamilton. The late Mrs. Martin Hamilton was a sister and William Hamilton a brother.
Services were held In Oakland Tuesday afternoon.
