Joseph A. Raymond
Joseph A. Raymond of 221 Walnut avenue passed away Thursday, Sept. 27. He had been out of health for some time. Last year he underwent a surgical operation from which he recovered sufficiently to return to his business duties, but this summer he was obliged to retire again and has recently been at the Gunnison Sanitarium.

Mr. Raymond was still young, being only 36 years of age. He was an industrious man of upright character, a good neighbor and devoted to his family. He held business positions both in Mill Valley and San Francisco. He leaves to revere his memory his wife, Mrs. Mary A. Raymond, and five children, Evelyn, Cecile, Robert, Francis and Edward; his mother, Mrs. Mary C. Raymond, and a brother, Frank Raymond. His father, Francis Raymond, passed away a number of years ago.

Mr. Raymond was a member of San Rafael Council, No. 1292, Knights of Columbus.

Funeral services are held today at 9:30 a. m., at the family residence on Walnut avenue, and at 10 o’clock at Mt. Carmel Church, of which the deceased was a communicant. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Joseph A. Raymond of Mill Valley, passed away at his late home Thursday. He left surviving a widow, Mary A. Raymond, and the following children, Evelyn, Cecile, Robert, Francis and Edward Raymond. He was the son of Mrs. Mary C. Raymond and the late Francis Raymond. The deceased was thirty-six years old and a member of San Rafael Council No. 1292, Knights of Columbus. Funeral services were held this morning at Mount Carmel church where a mass was celebrated for the repose of his soul and his remains were interred in Holy Cross cemetery in San Mateo County.
