ELIZABETH M. WHITCOMB
Finds Rest Following a Lingering Illness
May 23, at her home on Marin Heights, occurred the demise of Elizabeth M. Whitcomb, wife of Bonner Whitcomb. Mrs. Whitcomb submitted to an operation about two months ago and later returned to her home and was even able to be on the street a few times.
But a serious malady had taken too firm a hold and for the past three weeks she has lain critically ill, though not realizing that the end was so near as she was planning in her last days for a little trip for change of scene. Nothing that skillful nursing and loving hands could do was spared to relieve her. The passing came suddenly and peacefully last Monday. She was still a young woman, being but 41 years of age. Pennsylvania was her native State.
Others of the immediate family beside her husband to mourn her, are two sons, Donald and Robert MacLean, who will carry with them through life the memory of a good mother.
Services conducted by the Rev. H. H. Howitt were held at the Dowd Chapel, Thursday morning. Interment was private.
