LOUIS LE MAITRE
Well Known Dairyman Succumbs After Long Illness
Louis Le Maitre, a resident of Mill Valley for the past twenty years, passed away at his home Friday evening, December 17, after long and painful illness. Many friends were in attendance at the funeral services which were conducted by the Rev. E. C. Oakley at the C. J. Dowd chapel, Monday noon. Interment was at Cypress Lawn Cemetery, San Francisco.
Mr. Le Maitre is survived by his wife. Mrs. Susan Le Maitre, and two married sons, George and Louis, both of whom reside in San Francisco. There is also one grandchild, Lloyd. A stepson, William Gibson, was a member of the family circle here and was much endeared to Mr. Le Maitre.
A native of Normandy, France, Mr. Le Maitre came to this country when a young man and 35 years ago was in the employ of General Dickenson in Sausalito and later of Dan Ribb in Mill Valley. For some time on his acreage here lie has conducted a small but successful dairy business.
He was a man of sterling integrity, bright intellect, and kindly qualities whose passing will be regretted by a urge circle of friends and neighbors.
