PNEUMONIA TAKES JOHN A SAUER
John A. Sauer, one of the most popular and widely known traveling men on the Pacific Coast, passed away at his home here last Thursday night after an illness of several days from typhoid pneumonia. The funeral, held Saturday morning at St. Raphael's church, was largely attended by the scores of friends he had made during his long residence in San Rafael. Mr. Sauer for more than twenty years had been traveling out of San Francisco as a representative of large wholesale concerns. At the time of his death he was connected with the firm of Ottenheimer Bros., on Mission street.

He was a member of the Pacific Coast Commercial Travelers' Association, the United Commercial Travelers' Association and the Knights of Columbus. The deceased is survived by two children, Joseph and Bessie Sauer, his wife, Mrs. Helen Sauer, having died some years ago.
