Found Dead at Bolinas

Amabel Remillard, commonly known by the appellation of “Frog Catcher,” was found dead in his cabin, situated near the Lime Kiln, about six miles from Bolinas, on Saturday last. Willie Betten, while looking for stock in that neighborhood went to the cabin and found Mr. R. dead in his bed. He had been in the habit of going to the ranch of Mr. Henry Betten, some two miles distant, for milk, and had remarked to Mr. B. t hat he would probably find him dead some time in the cabin. He was at the ranch the Wednesday previous to his death. He had been troubled with an affliction of the throat and chest for some time previous to his death, and seemed to prefer his isolated and miserable way of living to the proffered assistance of relatives. He was about 56 years of age, and a native of Montreal, Canada, where it appears his family reside. An inquest was held by Justice Phinney, and a verdict rendered in accordance with the above. He was buried at Bolinas, on Sunday last, Rev. Mr. Dinsmore officiating.
