Barre Cook

Funeral for Barre A. Cook of Petaluma will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Sorensen Funeral Home.

Cook, 23, of 716 Madison Street, died Sunday in an auto accident on Highway 101 north of San Rafael.

He was a native of Chicago and was reared in Kansas, Hawaii and Southern Sonoma, where he arrived 10 years ago.

Cook was a salesman for the Novato Auto Parts store. He was a graduate of Petaluma High School and Santa Rosa Junior College.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Cook, and a son, Douglas E. Cook, both of Santa Rosa; his mother and step-father, Lois and Clay Thompson of Petaluma; a brother, Curtis Cook of Petaluma; five half-brothers, Bradley, Cameron, Dane and Lee Thompson, all of Petaluma, and Scott Thompson of Los Gatos; a half-sister, Lisa Thompson of Los Gatos, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. O. Deighton of Kansas and Mrs. and Mrs. Vergil Warnken of Denver, Colo.

Burial will be in the family plot at Great Bend, Kan.
