Victim of Auto Accident Dead
Wife is Dying

H. E. Greene of 1152 Jackson street, San Francisco, who was injured on Tuesday evening when the automobile in which he was riding was struck by a Northwestern Pacific train at San Anselmo, died yesterday afternoon at 3:30 at Ross General Hospital. Internal injuries were the cause of death.

His wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Greene, injured internally in the same accident, is in a critical condition at the same hospital, and slight hope is held out for her recovery.

Following the death of the injured man, the case was reported to Coroner J. Ray Keaton and the body removed to the morgue in San Rafael. Coroner Keaton stated this morning that an inquest will be held to fix the responsibility for the fatal accident. The date of the inquiry has not yet been set.

The machine in which Greene and his wife were riding at the time of the accident was driven by Frank B. Knittle of Larkspur, who, according to Chief of Police B. A. Gaston of San Anselmo, failed to heed the warning signal at the crossing.
