Constantinos "Dino" George Petracopoulos
Passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2002 in San Rafael after a battle with Burkitt's Lymphoma at age 64 years. He had been a resident of Novato for the last 35 years. Dino was born November 15, 1938 in Kyparissia, Greece. A mechanical engineer, Dino had worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard from 1979 - 2000. Dino was an alumnus of San Francisco State University and U.C. Berkeley and had served for two years in the Greek Army. Dino was very involved in the Novato Youth Soccer Association for 25 years and also very active in The Nativity of Christ Greek Orthodox Church and The Macedonian Organization. Dino loved the restaurant industry, cooking, coaching and gardening. He is survived by his beloved Wife Thelma, Daughter Dina and Husband Pete Stathis, Son George and Wife Gina Petracopoulos and Daughter Jennie Petracopoulos. Three Grandchildren Dean, Sophia and Isabella. Brothers and Sisters in Greece and Daly City as well as many Nieces and Nephews. Friends and Family are invited to attend the Trision and Wake Thursday, April 25, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. at Keaton's Redwood Chapel, 1801 Novato Blvd., Novato and the Funeral Service Friday, April 26 at 11:00 a.m. at The Nativity of Christ Greek Orthodox Church, 1110 Dickson Drive, Ignacio. Interment at Valley Memorial Park following the Service. Donations may be made in his Memory to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1390 Market Street, #1200, San Francisco, CA 94102.
