Popular Boy Ends His Life
Petaluma, July 2 (U.P.) – William M. Cunningham, 19, son of a member of the Sonoma county board of education, committed suicide at his home at Bloomfield, near here today.
No motive for the act, except that he had been melancholy for several weeks, could be advanced. He was found by his mother, who heard the report of a revolver and rushing into the living room of their home found her son slumped over a desk.
The body was brought here pending an investigation. No inquest will be held, it was said, and funeral services will be conducted from a funeral parlor here Friday.
