INJURIES OF CRASH VICTIM PROVE FATAL
Selby C. Oppenheimer, Jr. Hurt When Auto Upsets, Dies in Hospital
Injuries received by Selby C. Oppenheimer, Jr., 24, on Sunday evening, when the automobile in which he was riding ran into an embankment on the Fairfax-Bolinas road and overturned, pinning him beneath it, resulted in his death at the Ross General Hospital last night at ten o’clock.
Oppenheimer whose neck was twisted in the accident was conscious to the end, although he had been paralyzed from the shoulders down.
At the bedside since the accident, were his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. Selby C. Oppenheimer, and his mother and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Worthington Ames of Yuba county. The young man was the only child of Oppenheimer, Sr., and Mrs. Ames.
Young Oppenheimer was born in San Francisco and lived there until ten years of age when he went to Yuba county. At 17 he returned to San Francisco and following his graduation he has been associated with his father in dramatic and concert management.
