Sausalito Man Dies Suddenly On The Street
Stricken by Heart Attack, J. W. Aikin Drops Dead On Way Home
Stricken by a heart attack as he was returning to his home at 19 Josephine Avenue, last night, John W. Aikin, 63, head bookkeeper in the offices of Libby, McNeil and Libby in San Francisco, dropped dead at the corner of Harrison and Bulkley Avenues. Aikin with his wife was returning from the home of their son at 33 Miller Avenue when he was seized with the attack and expired before Mrs. Aikin could summon aid.
Aikin had previously been in good health and had attended a class in art metal work at the Tamalpais high school, where his son, Relzy B. Aikin, is an instructor, earlier in the evening.
The body was removed to the funeral parlors of Keaton and Dusel in San Rafael.
Aikin was for many years connected with the Libby Company at Selma and last July was transferred to the San Francisco office of the company. He had resided at Sausalito since his transfer.
