Mancebo Dies From Injuries In Auto Crash
Frank Mancebo, age 43, for 16 years a widely known Sausalito fireman, was fatally injured Sunday in a headon auto crash near Tracy and died in a hospital here Monday from a crushed chest and fractured skull.
Mancebo was on sick leave and was riding with Louis Pfaff of Sausalito, driver of the car. Pfaff received a broken jaw and minor injuries. Mancebo was returned from Tracy to Ross hospital, where he died.
Deceased was assistant chief of the Sausalito Fire Department but had not been on duty for several months due to illness. He was unmarried and leaves three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Virginia Hernandez and Mrs. Henrietta Bachman of Sausalito, and Mrs. Constance Rogers, San Francisco; Joe and Manuel Mancebo, both of Sausalito.
The funeral was held this (Thursday) forenoon from the Larsen Mortuary, followed by Mass at the Star of the Sea Church, with interment at Fernwood cemetery.
