Age 75 years, died in Petaluma on Sunday, April 14, 2002, after a long illness due to Alzheimer's disease. The daughter of Howard and Katherine (Kelly) Monley of Grand Forks, North Dakota, she was born May 19, 1926 in Grand Forks. She was the wife of the late Graydon (Dick) Gast. She is survived by daughters: Cathy Gast Feroe of Larkspur, CA, Joan Banker of Crested Butte, Colorado, Meg E. Rose and Mary Kelly-Williams both of Boulder, Colorado, Sheila McQueeny of Rohnert Park, CA; and sons: Richard Gast of Holly Springs, North Carolina and Jim Gast of San Francisco, CA. 20 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Two sisters: Donna Larsen of Pacifica, CA and Peggy McDermott of Louisville, Colorado also survive her. Two brothers, Fred and James Monley and her sister, Jean Dorsher, preceded her in death. Rosemary was a Marin County resident for more than 20 years and was an active parishioner and choir member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Larkspur. She was loved by her family and friends. Her sweet presence and gentle spirit will be sorely missed. Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Her Life at a Memorial Mass on Wednesday, May 1, 2002 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 114 King, Larkspur, CA. Arrangements under the direction of PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Magnolia Avenue and Keokuk Street, Petaluma, California.
