W. E. TREVELLICK

A graveside service for William Edward Trevellick, formerly of Corte Madera, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.

Trevellick died Saturday in a Lakeport, Lake County hospital, after a lengthy illness. He was 74.

He used to tell how he forged his parentsí signature so he could enlist in the Royal Flying Corps during World War I. The commanding office of his lighter-than-air squadron was the Prince of Wales, who later became George VI.

Trevellick came to the United States in 1955, living in Corte Madera, where he was active in senior citizen groups.

He is survived by a son, Anthony W. Trevellick of Lakeport; a daughter, Joyce Ballard of Carson City, Nev.; a sister, Girlie Keene Salisbury of England, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A death notice in the same paper adds that he was the husband of the late Florence Ivy Trevelleck, and grandfather of Loraine Rossen, Tina, John, and David Ballard and Toni Elizabeth and Valorie Ann Trevellic. He was the great-grandfather of James Lee Rossen. He was a native of England.
