Mrs. Margaret Fox
Mrs. Margaret Fox, age 84, a native of Ireland, died at her home on C Street in San Rafael Sunday morning.
Patrick Fox, her husband, and herself came from Ireland in the early history of California and settled at Novato in 1852. Later they removed to San Rafael. She leaves two daughters and two sons. The funeral took place Tuesday, interment being made in the Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Fox, whose death is noted on page 2 of this paper, was one of Marin County’s oldest pioneers. She was widely known as a most estimable lady, one who in her younger days did many a noble deed, and was generous toward the needy. The funeral on Tuesday was attended by many friends from Santa Rosa, Cloverdale, Petaluma, Salmon Creek, and other places. A good woman called to a better home.
