Ran fishing business
Elsie McMullen of Mill Valley, longtime owner of Caruso’s Sport Fishing in Sausalito, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 1989, at the Bayside Convalescent Hospital in Greenbrae. She was 91.
Mrs. McMullen was born in Napa and had lived in Marin since 1960.
For many years, she worked in the family’s sport fishing business in Sausalito. Mrs. McMullen rose early in the morning to work a 12-hour day, keeping it up until the business was sold 11 years ago.
Her husband, Ernest J. McMullen, died in 1947. She is survived by a son, Sidney A. McMullen of Mill Valley.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Sejanzan Myoshin-Ji Buddhist Temple, 2631 Appian Way, Pinole. Private burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery in San Rafael.
