A memorial service for Gene Bryant of Fairfax will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at 48 Raymond Road, San Anselmo.
Mrs. Bryant, 55, died Friday at a local rest home after a lengthy illness.
She had been a school teacher for some 25 years, teaching in San Mateo and San Francisco State University as well as in Marin County.
Mrs. Bryant was born and reared in Los Angeles. She was a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and did further studies at San Francisco State University.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca O’Gorman of Calistoga; her son, Tom Bryant of Pittsburgh, Pa., and one grandchild.
The family prefers memorial contributions to the Friends of Rainbow House, 20 Rainbow Road, Terra Linda.
A Death Notice in the same paper adds: Gene was a teacher to all, a loving friend to many. She was the mother to Rebecca and Tom and grandmother to Jesse.
