Louis H. Dorris
A funeral for Louis Herman Dorris of San Rafael will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Keaton’s Mortuary in San Rafael.
Mr. Dorris died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 1988, at Kaiser Hospital in San Rafael. He was 77.
He was born in Oakland and moved to San Rafael in 1964.
Mr. Dorris was a banker for 27 years, working as assistant vice president of Crocker Bank. He retired in 1970.
He was a past president of the Kiwanis Club of the Pacific. He was also a member and past president of the Fillmore Merchants and Improvement Association of San Francisco.
Mr. Dorris was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was also an avid collector of “O” gauge trains.
He is survived by his wife, Marian Dorris; a daughter, Diane Simi of Novato; and two granddaughters.
Scripture services will be at 8 tonight at the mortuary. Burial will be at Valley Memorial Park in Novato.
The family prefers that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Marin, 150 Nellen Drive, Corte Madera, 94925.
A death notice in the same paper adds that he was the grandfather of Jennifer and Allison, and father-in-law of Alain Simi.
