Funeral for Angus McLellan, former business agent for Boilermakers Union Local 6, which covers Marin County, will be at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo.
McLellan, who had been retired two years, died in a local hospital after a short illness. He was 71.
Born in Canada, he came to the San Francisco area in 1925 and moved to Marin in 1950. He made his home at 15 Brookmont Circle, San Anselmo.
He was in the Canadian Army during World War I and during World War II served as night superintendent at Marinship in Sausalito.
He was a member of Crocker Lodge, 454, Free and Accepted Masons, San Francisco; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 5, San Francisco, and Boilermakers Union Local 6 of San Francisco.
Survivors are his wife, Hilda M. McLellan; two sons, Ronald McLellan of San Rafael and Marine Lt. Co. Kenneth McLellan of Newport, R.I.; two brothers, William McLellan and John McLellan, both of Vancouver, Canada; and seven grandchildren. Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
A Death Notice in the same paper adds that he was a native of Prince Edward Island, Canada. He died on Jan. 8th and was buried on the 11th.
