JOHN D. PILACELLI Dies At 51
John D. Pilacelli, a former San Rafael resident, died yesterday after a five-month illness at a Concord hospital. He was 51.
A native of San Leandro, he moved to Marin with his family while still a youngster. He attended San Rafael High School and College of Marin. He last lived at 150 Belvedere Street, San Rafael, before moving to Concord about two years ago.
Pilacelli was a construction foreman with Pacific Telephone Co. at the time of his death. He worked for the firm for almost 30 years. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Redwood Council and George S. Ladd Chapter 27 of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
He is survived by two sons, John, 20, and Michael Pilacelli, 12, and two daughters, Elizabeth Ann, 18, and Yolanda Pilacelli, 15, all of Petaluma, a brother, August T. Pilacelli, of San Rafael, and a sister, Mrs. Yolanda P. Burke of Edgewater Beach, Md.
Pilacelli was the finance of Barbara Gordon of 20 Madrone Court, Fairfax.
Rosary will be recited tomorrow at 8 p.m. at Harry M. Williams Mortuary, San Rafael. A Mass for the repose of his soul at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Church, Santa Venetia. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society are preferred by the family.

A Death Notice in the same paper says that John Dennis Pilacelli was the son of the late August and Anna Pilacelli.
