Col. MICHAEL STUBLAREC
Graveside services with full military honors have been held at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside for retired Air Force Col. Michael Stubarec of Novato, former base commander of Hamilton Air Force Base.
Colonel Stublarec also was a retired registrar of Gold Gate University in San Francisco. He died July 6 at Letterman General Hospital at the Presidio of San Francisco at the age of 67.
He headed Hamilton Air Force Base in 1968 and 1969. After he retired from the Air Force in 1969, he taught at Golden Gate University.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, and five children. The immediate family attended the ceremony in Riverside.
