Martin Benson, an old and respected resident of San Rafael, passed away at his late home in San Rafael on Washington’s Birthday. The deceased, who had been ill for some time, was a retired gardener. He was a native of Ireland, and the beloved husband of Mrs. Mary Benson. The funeral services were held yesterday morning at St. Raphael’s church, where a requiem high mass was celebrated for the repose of his soul. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The deceased was an honest, upright citizen and a kind and thoughtful neighbor.
