Roy Alec Reid of Houston, Tex., visiting his son and daughter-in-law in Mill Valley while on vacation, died early today.
Reid, 59, was staying with his son, Alex H. Reid of 209 Chapman Road. Last evening he went to dinner at the home of his daughter-in-law’s mother in San Francisco. He became ill at about 11 p.m., an ambulance was called and he was taken to Marin General Hospital where he was dead on arrival at 12:05 a.m.
County Coroner Frank J. Keating said cause of death is undetermined. An autopsy was to be performed at Russell and Gooch Mortuary.
Reid, a salesman for Specialty Food Co. in Houston, and his wife, Grace, had been in California for a week.
He is survived by his wife; his son; three brothers, Harvey Reid of Nacogdoches, Tex., C. A. Reid of Dallas, and D. E. Reid of Denver. Also surviving him is a sister, Mrs. A. L. Tindall of Pasadena, Tex.
