Soldier Sentry Dies A Suicide at Black Point
When Private Nix of Hamilton field came to relieve Henry Rhine, 19 year old sentry at the Air Base radio station, near Black Point early Monday morning, he found the young soldier dead.
Deputy Coroner Frank Keaton said death was due to a shot in the temple, inflicted with a 45 Colt, clearly with suicidal intent.
Rhine entered the service in April from Los Angeles. Before coming to Hamilton Field he spent some time at Fort McArthur. He formerly lived with his mother, Mrs. Dora Rhine, in Los Angeles.
