Gerard W. Motto
Gerard W. Motto, a retired draftsman, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 1988, at his Novato home following a long illness. He was 78.
A native of West Virginia, he spent most of his life in New Jersey. Mr. Motto moved to Marin last month from Latrobe, Pa., to join his children. After retirement, he volunteered as a carpenter for Adelphi House in Pittsburgh, a home for troubled youths.
He is survived by one daughter, Judy Rosenbloom of Novato; a son, Gregory Motto of Tulsa, Okla., and six grandchildren. His wife, Loretta Motto, died earlier.
Friends may call at Keatonís Redwood chapel of Marin in Novato today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday.
The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Isabellaís church in Terra Linda. Burial will be in Valley Memorial Park in Novato.
A Death Notice in the same paper names his grandchildren: John, Patrick, Linda and Jennifer Walters and Gina and Shawna Motto.
