Victims of Japanese tre___(illegible)_, in the islands of the Pacific, are being buried day by day – laid to rest in temporary graves, there to remain until a more peaceful time, when these men, who gave their lives for their country, might be returned to their native soil.
One of these young men is David Lyttle, 19, of Lansdale district, San Anselmo, who enlisted last January, after obtaining consent of this mother, Mrs. Marie Griswold.
Young Lyttle was killed in action at Nichols Field, P. I.
He was ordered into foreign service in October after spending some time in the east and at Hamilton Field, as radio technician in the Air Corps.
