Mrs. Joyce Massagli, 47, a longtime Marin County resident, died yesterday at her home in Tamalpais valley after a long illness.
Mrs. Masagli was the wife of Raymond J. Massagli Sr., sales manager of the Borden Co., San Rafael, and former Tamalpais Fire Protection District commissioner.
She was a native of England, had worked 38 years in California, last residing at 530 Midvale Avenue. Mrs. Massagli had worked, prior to her illness, as a secretary for Mayers Ltd. in Mill Valley.
A member of the Auxiliary to the Tamalpais Valley Volunteer Fire Department, she was also past officer of the Tamalpais Valley Improvement Club.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Raymond Massagli Jr. and Robert Massagli; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rushton of Mill Valley; three sisters, Mrs. Olive Smith, Mrs. Edith Carter, and Mrs. Ivy Foster, and a brother, Donald Rushton, all of Mill Valley.
Funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 a.m. at Russell and Gooch Mortuary, Mill Valley. Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, San Rafael.
