This is now the Doughty Ranch, formerly Bianchini/Mendoza, Bianchi and Grandi, just north of Point Reyes Station. I believe Mary Tunstead was the widow or wife of James Tunstead, prominent early Marinite. Not sure how she ended up with a ranch out there. The Grandi family ran the only mercantile in Point Reyes in the late 1800s, and used the ranch to provide fresh dairy and farm products to the store. Interesting, the canyon behind the ranch is listed by USGS as GRAND CANYON; that is a lazy reworking of its real name, GRANDI CANYON.
